As we age, our bodies begin to break down collagen and leave our faces looking deflated and more wrinkled.

Where Botox works on the muscles, fillers work in tissues under the skin by plumping up areas of lost volume.

The fillers we use are made of hyaluronic acid (HA). This is a substance found naturally in the skin, meaning our bodies process it as they would with natural HA.

Have a look at our specific filler pages for extra information.

We tend to use Juvéderm and Teoxane fillers, as the global leaders, but other brands include Restylane, Revolax and Princess.

Fillers come in different consistencies to create different results, so you may need different fillers for different areas.

Fillers last between 6-12 months, again depending on your body’s individual metabolism.

Frequently asked questions

What do they look like?

Having filler in place should make your skin look rejuvenated and natural. We place the filler in areas which have lost their previous volume: - lips - smile lines (connects nose and lips) - marionette lines (connect corners of lips down to chin) - jaw definition - chin remodelling

When will I notice results?

Results are instand with dermal filler. Initially there will be some minor swelling which should settle after a few days. The area will be red and inflamed often immediate afterwards, again this settles normally in 48 hours.

Are the results permanent?

Your body breaks down the Hyaluronic acid over time, just like it does to the natural Hyaluronic acid already there. Depending on your own metabolism, filler can last between 12 months and 2 years. Filler can be dissolved immediately if there are any complications or concerns.

Does it hurt?

The filler we use contains anaesthetic, and we also place numbing on the areas to be treated to minimise discomfort.

Are they safe?

Dermal fillers have been used safely and effectively for over 20 years. All procedures carry minor risks, but prolonged or serious complications are extremely rare. Your practitioner will discuss with you the details.

Can anyone have filler?

Most people can. However it not advised in patients who take blood thinners, have had collagen injections in the past, heavy scarring, severe allergies or compromised healing. This will all be discussed at your consultation.

Where can I have filler?

Hyaluronic acid can be used all over the body. We provide fillers for the lips, and the lines made by smiling and frowning around the mouth. We can also use fillers to rejuvenate the jaw line and chin, enhancing your natural profile.
