What Does

Heading

Treatment Involve ?

Preparation: The treatment area is cleansed and marked for targeted application.

Precise Freezing: The Cryopen delivers a fine jet of nitrous oxide, freezing and destroying the targeted tissue.

Monitoring: Your doctor carefully monitors the freezing process to ensure accuracy and minimise discomfort.

Aftercare: Follow your doctor's instructions, which may include gentle cleansing and avoiding sun exposure.

Risks & Complications:

Generally safe, potential side effects include:

  • Temporary redness, swelling, or bruising
  • Minor blistering (rare)
  • Skin lightening (uncommon)
  • Scarring (very rare)

A typical Cryopen session lasts 5-15 minutes, depending on the size and number of lesions treated. The procedure is minimally invasive and well-tolerated, with most people experiencing a mild stinging sensation during freezing.

How it works?

Cryopen utilises cryotherapy, a process where controlled freezing temperatures destroy unwanted tissue. The pressurised nitrous oxide rapidly cools the targeted area, disrupting cell membranes and causing the tissue to die off naturally. The body then gradually eliminates the destroyed cells, leaving behind healthier skin.

What can it treat?
  • Skin tags
  • Warts (common, plantar, filiform)
  • Solar lentigines (sunspots, age spots)
  • Sebaceous hyperplasia (oily bumps)
  • Cherry angiomas (red, raised moles)
  • Milia (tiny white bumps)
